International Logistics Coordinator Details:

  • Contract to Hire position
  • $30.00 /hour
  • First Shift (Monday through Friday)

• The International Logistics Coordinator is responsible for facilitating, coordinating, and managing all international shipments based on the country of origin such as Canada, Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East.

• Maintain shipment records in digital databases and ensure that shipments are delivered according to schedule and country regulations.

• Processes, tracks, and traces international shipments.

• Understands, interprets, and applies export requirements needed for importer customs clearance.

• Complies with CA/US Government regulations to facilitate clearance, ensuring CA/US export customs regulatory compliance is achieved.

• Prepares, validates, and submits documentation to ensure acceptance of product and payment from the customer for the product.

• Analyzes material inventory reports and place purchase orders to support production schedules.

• Build and maintain shipping schedules for all inbound/outbound shipments, including domestic and international.

• Completes international packings lists using Excel and date entry functions through Microsoft Great Plains ERP system, and SalesPad order fulfilment system.

• Maintains department files and routine correspondence with small parcel and LTL freight carriers.


International Logistics Coordinator Qualifications:

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in the transportation industry, international business, or related field required with strong knowledge of logistics and exporting.

• Adept at using computers with experience working with MS Great Plains, SalesPad and MS Office including Word, Outlook and Excel

• Strong understanding of diesel engine parts and services

• Ability to respond to internal and external customers with excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills.

• Effective communication skills with ability to communicate with employees and customers both one-on-one and in small groups with strong focus on customer service.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

• Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
