Quality Engineer Details:

  • Contract to Hire position
  • $35.00 to $46.00 /hour
  • First Shift
  • The successful candidate will oversee the assembly department, ensuring the outstanding quality of our products.
  • Manage day-to-day quality control items on the production line, ensuring all products meet customer requirements and production standards.
  • Conduct complex analysis to troubleshoot and resolve production issues, utilizing a logical and methodical approach.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and implement solutions for production problems.
  • Perform detailed documentation and report on quality control processes, findings, and outcomes.
  • Engage in basic project management activities, including determining project timelines and coordinating with various teams.
  • Provide technical support across the assembly department, working closely with a fellow quality engineer and the quality team manager.
  • Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships across departments, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
  • Utilize tools such as PFMEA, YY analysis, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to anticipate and mitigate potential failures.
  • Implement and maintain automated production lines with heavy robotic components, ensuring optimal operation.

Quality Engineer Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical) or a comparable discipline. 
  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive sector.
  • Experience in equipment troubleshooting, including vision systems, laser detection, and measurement controls.
  • Familiarity with Lean or Kaizen methodologies is a plus but not required.
  • Availability to work core A shift from 6:30 AM to 3 PM with flexibility for occasional overtime or shift adjustments.
  • Applicant may be subject to a background check
