Our client builds plastic injection molds primarily for the automotive market. They offer prototype and production tooling for a wide range of molding processes.

Plastic Injection Molding Details:

  • Temp-to-Hire position
  • $17.00 /hour
  • Full Time work available
  • First Shift (Monday through Friday)
  • Keep the presses, hoppers, and dryers supplied with resin.
  • Keep the Machine Operators supplied with the correct packaging material, and help set-up the pack if needed.
  • Pull out finished goods and put them in the audit area for final quality check if applicable (some parts have the final check completed at the press signified by the green quality sticker).
  • Move finished goods for quality department after the green sticker is applied, to the shrink wrap station (if required) or directly to the shipping area when shrink wrapping is not required. Consult the job book notebook for packaging information.
  • Grind scrap parts keep grinders clean and empty regrind in properly labeled containers, (reference grinder cleaning instructions) if cleaning the grinders.
  • Help with relieving the machine operators for breaks and lunches.
  • Make sure that bins/containers/skids boxes at the presses are labeled before moving them.
  • Make sure raw or reground material gaylords are labeled and weighed when removed from the press and placed back into inventory.
  • Mix colorant into material when required reference the job notebook for instructions.
  • Clean the material dryer (record on the dryer sheet).
  • Clean the filter on the press when a material change is made.

Plastic Injection Molding Qualifications:

  • Previous sitdown forklift experience.
  • Previous experience working as a mold setter, die setter or in a plastic injection environment.
  • Ability to wear many hats and multi task.
  • Good history of reliability.
  • Applicant may be subject to a background check
  • Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
