Wastewater Technician
I am looking for a Wastewater Technician to join a company in Indianapolis. This technician will work at one location to clean water and tanks after it has gone through a process. 2+ years of wastewater treatment experience and the ability to regularly climb ladders is required.

Wastewater Technician Details:
Direct Hire position- $
17.00 to $ 25.00 / hour First Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 07:00am to03:30pm )
•Operate wastewater treatment system to meet permit requirements and production needs
•Maintain readiness of wastewater equipment and ensure proper waste segregation
•Coordinate wastewater activities with Process Engineers and production personnel
•Assist in sampling requirements and scheduling hazardous waste pickups
•Inspect and maintain 90-day storage areas and satellite accumulations
•Collaborate with the maintenance department to upkeep waste treatment equipment
•Document tasks performed and assist in spill prevention and cleanup
•Fulfill laboratory responsibilities including wastewater testing and chemical inventory management
Wastewater Technician Qualifications:
• IDEM Wastewater licensing needed
• Requires 2+ years of experience in wastewater treatment and plating, surface finishing, or similar metal treatment systems
• Understanding of WW Pretreatment Discharge Permit requirements
• Familiarity with regulatory protocols for handling, storing, and shipping hazardous materials
• Demonstrates effective time management skills to meet task deadlines
• Adept with verbal and written communication with management and production personnel
• Capable of working with MS Excel and MS Word
• Able to lift 40-50 lbs repetitively without assistance and stand or climb ladders for the duration of the shift
• Required to use various types of respirators; training, fit testing, and medical evaluations are mandatory for respirator issuance
• Expected to work in a chemical-laden environment with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Will work in extreme temperatures, including both heat and cold, depending on the season
